A trade didn’t settle the way I expected
Updated
How settlement is decided when a result surprises you.
Settlement is decided by Runtiler's reference price, not by what your screen happened to show. That price is a 10-second average of the median across several exchanges, so a one-second spike on a single exchange does not count — your target is touched when the 10-second price reaches it. See price sources for exactly how it is made, and a live view of every exchange.
A trade settles in your favor only if the price reaches your target before the window ends. If the target wasn't reached in time, you lose what you paid — your stake and the fee — no matter how close it came.
If you believe a trade settled incorrectly, email support@runtiler.com with the asset, the time, and what you expected, and we’ll review it. You can also read how a trade settles.
