Creating challenges
Referrals
Updated
Your referral link, who becomes your affiliate, the 1.25% share you earn on their sales and purchases, and what each of you sees.
On this page
Everyone on Runtiler has a referral link. A new person who signs up through it becomes your affiliate, and you earn a share of what they buy and of what their challenges sell.
Your link
Your link is runtiler.com/?via= followed by your username. Find it on your Earnings tab as Your link, with a Copy button. On a phone, it is under Affiliates.
- It works on any Runtiler page, not only the homepage.
- When you copy a link with Share on Runtiler, such as a public challenge's, your code is added to it, unless the link already carries someone's code. To stop this, turn off Add my code to links I copy in Settings, under Sharing.
- A code link for your discount codes carries your referral code too. See codes for your followers.
Who becomes your affiliate
- Only a new account counts. Someone who already has a Runtiler account can't become your affiliate.
- The link is remembered in that browser for 90 days, so they can sign up later.
- The last link clicked counts. If they open someone else's link after yours, before signing up, that person gets the credit.
- You can't refer yourself.
What you earn
Your affiliate share is 1.25%. Partners agree a share of up to 10%: see Partner program. You earn it on:
- every sale of a challenge made by a creator you brought in, including their own purchases of their challenges
- everything a person you brought in buys, from any creator
The share is of what the buyer paid, after any code. It is never paid on a purchase you make yourself, and you earn only one share of any purchase: if you made the challenge, you get your creator share instead.
For example, you brought in Sam. Lee buys Sam's $100 challenge: Sam earns $10 and you earn $1.25. Then Sam buys a $200 challenge from another creator: you earn $2.50.
Affiliate shares are paid like creator shares, when the buyer first trades, and a refund cancels them. See earn as a creator.
If you change your username
Your link changes to your new username. Your old link keeps working for you until someone else takes that username.
What each of you sees
Your affiliates pay the same prices as everyone else. Nothing is added to what they pay. A code you make for People from my link works for them.
On your Earnings tab you see how many people joined through your link, and for each affiliate their username, when they joined, and the challenges they buy and sell, with their prices and your cut. Every profile on Runtiler is public, and wallet addresses are never shown.
