Creating challenges
Codes for your followers
Updated
Make discount codes for your challenges, paid from your share: the kinds, who can use them, limits, and how a code changes what you earn.
On this page
Once you have a published challenge, you can make discount codes for your challenges. A code's discount comes out of your share of the sale, so buyers save and you keep the rest. Runtiler's part and the reward money don't change.
Codes are on your Earnings tab, under Discounts. Tap New code. Until you publish a challenge, the tab shows "Publish a challenge first".
What a code gives
- % off: from 1% up to your current share, in whole percents. Each person can use it once.
- $ amount, Each person: every person gets the amount to spend on your challenges, over one or more purchases.
- $ amount, Shared: one amount for everyone, until it runs out.
A dollar code offers $5 to $10,000. One sale uses at most your share's percent of its price. The rest stays on the code for the next purchase.
Who can use it
- Anyone with the code.
- People from my link: those who signed up through your referral link, including people who join later.
- Named people: only the accounts you add, up to 500. You can type usernames or paste a list.
You can't use your own code.
Which challenges
Only your own. If you have more than one:
- All: every challenge you publish, including later ones.
- Size and steps: those that match, including later ones that match.
- Pick: only the ones you pick, never new ones.
How long, and for how many
Set an end date (7, 30 or 90 days, a date up to a year away, or no end) and a number of people. A code for anyone or for your link needs at least one of the two. For named people both are optional.
You can run up to 5 codes at a time ("2 of 5 running").
The name
3 to 20 letters or numbers, like SAM10. Each name is unique on Runtiler, whatever the case. These are kept for Runtiler: runtil, runtiler, admin, support, official, staff, team and help.
Change limits or stop a code
Open a code to see who used it and what it gave.
- Change limits: only the end date and the number of people, never below the people who already used it. The name, what it gives, who can use it and where it works never change. For a new value, make a new code.
- Stop code: nobody can use it after this, and it can't start again. Purchases already made keep their discount. It frees a place, and the name stays yours.
A refunded purchase gives its use back to the code.
Share the link
Each code has a link: runtiler.com/?code=SAM10&via=yourname. Opening it fills the code in at checkout during that visit, and a new person who signs up through it becomes your affiliate. See referrals.
