Overnight fees
Updated
The fee for holding a position past 00:00 UTC, today's rate for each market, how weekends count, and a worked example.
On this page
A position you hold at 00:00 UTC pays a small fee for that night. It works the same on Standard and Raw accounts, and the same for longs and shorts.
How it is charged
- For each 00:00 UTC you hold a position, you pay its value at that moment (size × what 1 lot is × the price) times the market's rate.
- A trade you open and close on the same UTC day pays no overnight fee. A trade opened at 23:59 UTC and held past midnight pays one night.
- If the market is closed at 00:00 UTC, the fee is still charged, at the market's last price.

Weekends
There is no special weekend charge: each 00:00 UTC counts once. A position held from Friday to Monday crosses three of them (Saturday, Sunday and Monday), so it pays three nights. Crypto is the same, though it trades all weekend. A market closed for the weekend is charged at its last price.
A worked example
You hold 0.1 BTC at $100,000. Its value is $10,000, and one night is 0.05% of it: $5. Held from Friday to Monday at that price, it pays three nights: $15.
One lot of EUR/USD at 1.1000 is worth $110,000. One night is 0.005% of it: $5.50.
How it counts
The fee comes out of your balance at once, and every rule sees it, like any cost. It lowers your equity, so it counts toward your max loss and daily loss limit, and it lowers the profit that counts for your target and your reward. A fee is not a trade, so it doesn't make a day count as a trading day.
Each position shows the fees it has paid so far, and your history shows each trade's Fees. A good habit before holding over a weekend is to check what three nights will cost on your size.
