Claim checks and review
Updated
What Runtiler checks on every claim, what "Under review" means, what happens if a claim is rejected, and how to ask about yours.
On this page
Every claim is checked automatically before it is paid. The checks look for a few kinds of trading that a challenge can't reward. A claim with nothing flagged passes in seconds and is paid at once.
What is checked
- Copy or hedge trading. Trading like another account, or against it, at the same times. The checks look for accounts whose profit and loss move almost exactly together, or almost exactly opposite, over time spent trading together. Your own other accounts count too.
- Matched opposite positions. One account long and another short on the same market, at about the same size, opened and closed at about the same time, where the other side lost. Two strangers trading the same news is normal, and the checks are built to tell that apart from a hedge.
- Price-lag trades. More than half of the profit comes from trades opened on a price more than one second old. Prices update several times a second, so an old price only happens when a feed has a fault.
A first claim looks at the account's whole life. Each later claim looks at the time since the one before.
A check never rejects on its own
When a check flags a claim, the claim is held and a person looks at it. The person decides. Nothing is rejected by a computer alone.
What "Under review" means
Your claim shows Under review and you get a notification. The reward is kept for you while a person checks it. There is no set time for a review, and we let you know when it's done.
While it waits, the account stays funded at its size and you can keep trading. You can't make another claim on it until this one is decided.
If the claim is released, it is paid in full, even if the account ended in the meantime.
If a claim is rejected
A claim is rejected only when the person confirms one of these, or another reason in the Terms such as exploiting a bug. You are told why in one plain line, and the claim shows Not paid.
- The account ends, and its reward and any fee back are not paid.
- For copy or hedge trading, the other accounts flagged with it end too, whoever owns them, and none of their rewards are paid.
Asking about your claim
When a claim is under review or not claimed, its screen has a button to reach support. You can also email support@runtiler.com with your account number.
To keep your claims simple: trade each account on its own, and don't run opposite trades across accounts. The full rules are in the rulebook.
